We talked to Tricia Finley, the general manager, for a little more information on The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve.
When asked about the history, she shared with us, “The facility honors the legacy of a local entrepreneur, Charles Ellis, and was built in 1932. From 1932 to 1977, Ellis Preserve served as a the home of Ellis College, a school that educated hundreds of fatherless girls throughout the Philadelphia area.” Along with it’s historical value, Trish added that Ellis sets itself apart from other venues with its unique features. The grand pillars and well landscaped grounds, outdoor patio and bar gives guests a wonderful outdoor experience. Inside, a private bridal suite is equipped with salon amenities so brides can get ready on site. The grand ballroom with exquisite bar, modern chandeliers and up-lights throughout the building create a perfect wedding scene.
In addition to the stunning event setting, the Finley family makes sure that your wedding day is all about you. Trish told us that when people look into booking the Ellis Preserve Ballroom she tells them that they are a private event space. Only one event per day is held here, so all of the focus will be on you. She also shared some recent trends in the wedding industry that she has seen. Particularly, she told us that “entrance sparklers are the new and explosive way for couples to get introduced. The reaction from guests is priceless!”
