Not just brides run the wedding show. We love BVTLive!’s trends for the groomsmen.

Tuxedo Colors… It is 2017-2018 and wow how tuxedos have changed. The color selection is at its best with 3 shades of grey, light, medium and dark grey. Then you have Burgundy tux, White jacket with black lapels. Ivory dinner jacket, Navy Blue tux with black lapels and much more.
Tuxedo Jackets… You have 3 different lapels, Peak, notch and shawl lapel. The jackets are tending to be much trimmer and tighter in the sides and a little shorter in the length and by the way the shawl lapels and wide peak lapels are trending.
Tuxedo Pants… are following the jacket witch are less baggy in the legs and tapered at the ankle and its ok to look a little shorter in the length to show off the trendy socks you purchased for the men.
Shirts… A microfiber shirt is a silky but very comfortable rental shirt to compliment the tuxedo and it is available in a classic fit or a trim fit. If you want to customize your rental shirt, consider purchasing a retail shirt with French cuffs for your wedding that can even be worn with a men’s suit after the wedding on special occasions. You can even add her and your initials on the French Cuff for a memory of your wedding day.
Tie and Suspenders… The bow tie and suspenders are making a strong comeback including the real bow tie that you tie yourself. Rather then clip on suspenders, consider having suspender buttons sewn on for a custom look.
Shoes and Socks… I am finding more and more grooms are looking for a certain shoe to finish off the look so don’t be afraid to purchase retail shoes to complete the look for the groom. It’s ok to have the Men rent shoes. Socks are also trending now with stripes, dots argyle in all vibrant colors.
Heirloom…. Let say a loved one can’t be with you on your wedding day. Consider wearing cuff links that may have belonged to that loved one or a pin on your lapel or even a watch that gives you the peace that they are with you on your wedding day.
Grooms Second Coat… More and more grooms are wowing their guests with a coat change for the reception. After the guests take their seat for dinner, that’s when you change into an ivory or white dinner jacket and make your entrance in style.
Suit Rentals… If you are having a less formal wedding and you don’t want everyone in a full suit, you can have your wedding party wear pants vest and tie then top it off with a cool belt and shoes. You can always add a jacket to the groom to step up his look.
Boutonnières… With the newer style jackets with different size lapels your flowers on the lapels are trending smaller. Try not to over do the plant material on your lapel. You don’t want to over power your Jacket with a big flower. I have found the Cali Lilly works well for a narrow lapel.
