From the history buff to the outdoorsy folks, we have suggestions for every type of group. Feel free to mix and match to create your perfect Philadelphia bachelorette celebration! Any bride and crew is sure to enjoy a party in Philly before you say “I do”!

For the History Buff

There are tidbits of history everywhere you go in Philly, but Old City is home to many of the historical attractions in Philadelphia. After a delicious brunch at Fork, try a self-guided walking tour around Old City.

You could start by having each bridesmaid pick out a location to go to for a DIY and creative approach, or try this one from GPS My City. Some must-sees are Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Betsy Ross House. Keep an eye out on the streets for Historical Markers that are sprinkled all over the city. Self-guided tours are great for photo opportunities, and there is no limit on time either. After your tour is finished, grab drinks at Independence Beer Garden and enjoy your night in the city for the perfect Philadelphia bachelorette celebration!

For the Ocean Lover

Any Philadelphian is sure to have taken a trip “down the shore.” Thankfully, the shore is just a few hours away from Philly! If you and your crew want a day in the sun, a day trip to the Jersey Shore is an excellent choice for your bachelorette party.

Wildwood and Ocean City both have great boardwalks for a combination of water sports, food and drinks, and beautiful beaches. Brigantine is another great option if you prefer a quieter beach day. For a more upbeat location, Atlantic City is close by for nightlife and gambling. One of the most popular places to go is Martell’s Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant Beach for drinks and dancing.

For a day, weekend, or week with your girls, the Jersey Shore has many different options for a beach bachelorette. Don’t forget your matching coozies for drinks in the sand!

For a Big Night Out

If you and your friends love to party, Philadelphia has an excellent nightlife scene. All over the city you can find bars and clubs with a variety of atmospheres. Bar hop and dance the night away in some of Philadelphia’s most fun neighborhoods.

Start with a mani-pedi and blow out at Rescue Spa along with some shopping on Walnut Street for new outfits for your night out. For drinks and dancing, you have unlimited options around the city! Start the night off with dancing at Howl at the Moon or Dolphin Tavern. While Philadelphia is full of fun bars and clubs, some of our favorite neighborhoods to go out in are Fishtown, Center City, and South Philly. You’re sure to find the perfect spot to groove with your bridesmaids and dance the night away!

Of course, late-night bites are a must for any night out! Pat’s King of Steaks & Geno’s Cheesesteaks are the classic Philly food to fill you up after a night of dancing and a classic Philly staple. Need a sugar fix as well? Try Insomnia Cookies, warm and gooey sweet shops dispersed throughout the city. Finally, if you need overnight accommodations, try the Loews Hotel to end your night comfortably.

For the Outdoorsy Crew

If you and your friends are the outdoorsy type, you have plenty of options in Philly and the surrounding areas for a Philadelphia bachelorette party. With the Poconos and many state parks close by, you will be able to get outside during the day and still have time for a drink or two at night!

If you want to stay close, get brunch in Manayunk and then go for a hike in Wissahickon Valley Park. It’s even close enough to take public transportation from the city! Try Winnie’s Manayunk, Lucky’s Last Chance, or Greg’s Kitchen for Brunch. Devils Pool Trail or Andorra Meadow are beautiful spots to check out, or you can explore Forbidden Drive. Grab a drink from Wissahickon Brewing Company to recharge after your hike and start off your night!

If you want to get out of the city to explore, the Poconos are great for a day trip. Go tubing at Jim Thorpe River Adventures in the summer, or try skiing at Camelback Mountain if it’s snowy. For a homier feel outside the city, you can travel into New Hope and Jim Thorpe for food and drinks.
