We have all seen the good, the bad, and the cheesy when it comes to engagement and wedding photos. But with so much riding on one set of pictures, it’s important that they be perfect and feel unique to each couple.
Philadelphia has so many classic spots for photos, but there are also some NEW ideas to capture more offbeat pictures that fit every couple’s personalities.
Check out these 5 NEW spots for photo ops in Philadelphia:
1) For animal lovers, The Philadelphia Zoo’s 42-acre Victorian garden is home to more than 1,300 animals, many of them rare and endangered.
By connecting people with wildlife, the Philadelphia Zoo creates discovery and inspires action for animals and habitats. Cheetahs, hippos, giraffes and much more make the Zoo Philadelphia’s leading attraction.
2) During the summer months, a part of Penn’s Landing is transformed into the Spruce Street Harbor Park, which is one of Philadelphia’s incredible new pop-up gardens. The park brings a boardwalk, an urban beach, fountains, and misting areas to the Delaware River Waterfront.
The centerpiece of the project is a series of floating barges complete with lily pad water gardens, a pop-up restaurant and bar, and nets that will suspend visitors over the water.
3) A fun and personalized idea is to have your shoot at your favorite restaurant, the bar you met at, or the place he proposed.

4) Philadelphia’s fantastic outdoor spaces continue to grow with the opening of the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk in Fall 2014.
Extending the popular Schuylkill River Trail, the Boardwalk is a 2,000-foot-long pathway along the shoreline from Locust Street another four blocks south to connect to the South Street Bridge.
The riverside path is 15-feet wide and includes four scenic overlooks for those who want to relax and take in spectacular waterfront views of the Philadelphia Skyline.
5) Located at the foot of City Hall, Dilworth Park has undergone an amazing transformation.
On September 4, 2014, the park reopened as a modern and welcoming outdoor hot spot, reestablishing William Penn’s original Center Square as a gathering place. A multifaceted space, Dilworth Park includes an enormous Great Lawn, an outdoor café operated by Jose Garces, a computer-programmable fountain and a performance area.
